An individual lease (also called a per-bed or per-bedroom lease) means you sign a lease for your private bedroom only, not for the entire apartment. You are responsible for your own rent, not your roommates’. If a roommate moves out, breaks their lease, or fails to pay, it does not affect your lease agreement or your monthly payment. University Commons offers individual leases on all apartments.
